Does it Rain all the time in Taiwan?

Well today has been a day that I like to call a rainy day to relax, eat, and take a nap. I just looked at the monthly forecast for Taiwan and everyday is showing a high chance of precipitation so I guess I won't be getting sun for a little while. I would rather it be raining and cool, than hot and humid, so I will enjoy the rain while it lasts! Today, the family I'm staying with had a BBQ( its not the American style BBQ) if thats what you're thinking but it was tasty and it was fun to get to meet some of their relatives. I have been very adventurous and have been trying to try all different types of food. For example this morning I was served this drink that had a really strange thick texture and was a green color with little seeds and tasted a bit like almonds. The food here is certainly so different what I'm used to back at home, but I'm enjoying trying the different dishes. One thing that I have learned is that Taiwan has so many different types of cuisines including Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Italian, and American. There is certainly no shortage of different foods to try while I'm here. I do have to admit that I do miss my dad's wonderful cooking, and the good old American food. I think another thing that is so different here is that its not common for families to sit down and have meals together, which for me is just completely different as I have grown up with it my entire life.
Well tonight I think I'm going to just be relaxing as I have school tomorrow and want to be rested for my week ahead.
Hopefully the weather forecast is incorrect and I will get to see some sunshine later in the week!
